Digital Citizenship Foundation is dedicated to teaching and advocating for the ethical and responsible use of technology. Through education, resources and public-facing programs, the organization helps students, families and educators build the knowledge and skills needed to navigate an increasingly digital world.

Serving communities along the Wasatch Front and sharing digital citizenship and internet safety resources statewide, Digital Citizenship Foundation addresses critical topics including media literacy, digital literacy, AI literacy, digital wellness and online safety.

Through the Utah Division of Multicultural Affairs Capacity Grant, Digital Citizenship Foundation will strengthen its governance systems, strategic planning and organizational infrastructure to support continued growth. This investment will help the organization prepare for expanded funding opportunities, strengthen fiscal responsibility and build the foundation needed to serve its growing community.

As technology continues to shape everyday life, Digital Citizenship Foundation is building the capacity to help Utahns use technology safely, responsibly and effectively.

Beginning in the 1840s, Utah pioneers – largely of European descent – moved west seeking religious freedom. Their European ancestry is still reflected today in the art, early clothing styles, and architecture of the time. Pioneers from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints built communities across the region based on their shared faith.

Domestic Abuse Recovery Solutions (DARS) exists to restore hope, rebuild lives and empower survivors of domestic violence through compassionate, trauma-informed support. As a survivor-led nonprofit organization, DARS provides individualized services that help survivors move forward with confidence, stability and independence.

Serving communities across Utah, DARS offers a wide range of resources, including peer support, therapy, case management, victim advocacy, support groups, education, employment resources, financial empowerment, safety planning and long-term recovery services.

Through the Utah Division of Multicultural Affairs Capacity Grant, DARS will continue strengthening its organizational foundation and expanding its ability to serve more survivors. This investment will support the growth of a small but impactful organization dedicated to ensuring that survivors do not have to navigate recovery alone.

By building organizational capacity, DARS is creating a stronger foundation to reach more individuals, strengthen families and help more survivors heal and thrive.

Bridgeway Connections is committed to removing barriers that can make it difficult for families to access essential support. Through therapeutic nutrition support, transportation assistance, and community programming, the organization works to provide practical resources that allow families to focus on what matters most: healing, growth and well-being.

Serving clients of Bridgeway Integrated Healthcare Services across Utah, Bridgeway Connections is building the capacity to expand its programs and reach more families throughout the state.

Through the Utah Division of Multicultural Affairs Capacity Grant, Bridgeway Connections will develop a comprehensive strategic plan to strengthen its organizational foundation, guide decision-making and support sustainable growth. The plan will establish clear priorities, align resources with the organization’s mission and create a roadmap for expanding services thoughtfully and effectively.

This investment will help Bridgeway Connections strengthen coordination across its programs and build a lasting foundation for providing meaningful support to neurodivergent individuals and their families.

With a strong presence in Utah and Salt Lake counties, the organization connects community members with legal, social and educational resources while creating opportunities to celebrate culture, build meaningful connections and strengthen communities.

Through the Utah Division of Multicultural Affairs Capacity Grant, Alianza Venezolana de Utah will launch a comprehensive leadership development program featuring classes, seminars and practical training. The initiative will strengthen the organization’s board, prepare emerging leaders and build a leadership pipeline that supports long-term sustainability.

By investing in strong leadership and organizational capacity, Alianza Venezolana de Utah is building a stronger foundation to continue connecting people with resources and creating lasting community impact.

Multicultural Youth Leadership Day is about helping young people recognize the value of their experiences, find confidence in their voices, and understand the impact they can have in their communities.
When young people know their stories matter, they are empowered to build connections, pursue opportunities, and help shape the future of our state.
As our Associate Director Eddy Thompson shared, “We want them to succeed. We want them to lead. Because that helps everybody.”
