Humanitarian Experience or Humanitarian XP (formerly described as HEFY) is a nonprofit service organization that offers humanitarian expeditions to youth ages 14-19. Each summer, Humanitarian XP leaders take groups of about 19 youth, 2 young adult trip leaders, and 2 parent builders to exciting destinations. Expeditions are 17 action-packed days, filled with service and weekend sightseeing. The H
umanitarian XP experience is primarily designed to serve our brothers and sisters in the most poverty-stricken areas of the world. Expeditions are carefully planned and organized to allow participants to see the completion of their work, which can include building a house, school, medical clinic, or orphanage. In addition to a little touring and a lot of hard work, Humanitarian XP participants are rewarded by building relationships with youth in other parts of the world. Most importantly, we at Humanitarian XP believe that acts of service open our hearts to the Spirit. Testimonies are built during Humanitarian XP service trips through nightly devotionals, daily scripture study, church attendance, and (where possible) temple proxy baptisms.
