***MILPER 22-023 Branch Transfer Process for Army Reserve AMEDD Officers is here***

TAKE NOTE! This is a new - and unprecedented - opportunity to mitigate the over-strength MS situation in the Army Reserve by allowing Soldiers to transfer branches!

Purpose: To provide a branch-transfer process to minimize the number of AMEDD Officers separated due to being a 2 time non-select (2XNS). While this applies to all Compo 3 AMEDD Officers, MS Officers are in an unprecedented over-strength status. Hundreds face separation from the Army Reserve within the next 5 years due to an excess of over 900 Officers in the ranks of 2LT through CPT.

Best chances for approval when submitted for the under-strength branches: QM, OD, TC, CM, and LG.

Current 2XNS are not eligible; and due to the late date of the ETP's approval, Officers who have been non-selected for promotion will be ineligible for branch transfer until the applicable FY22 promotion selection board results are published.
