πŸ“£ Here's your friendly reminder that WSW's Accomack Support Group meets this week with special guest, Erika Forsythe!

The group will meet on Tuesday, September 15th at its usual time and location. Erika will be joining the group to talk about the benefits herbal teas have on the body, especially through a breast cancer diagnosis and over the course of treatment. As the CEO of ELF Enchanted Gardens LLC, Erika is experienced in all things microgreens, teas, jams, and farming. A branch of the business, Zen ELF Tea, offers a wide variety of loose leaf tea blends, and she also operates ELF Microgreens, which provides many kinds of fresh, locally grown "superfood mini plants with bold flavor " to both local businesses and consumers on the lower shore. For more information or to place an order with Erika, email her at: [email protected]

Special thanks and shout out to Erika for joining one of our support groups and for supporting Survivors on their journey with breast cancer! πŸ‘ for any questions relating to this meeting, please call the WSW Office at 410-548-7880. We hope you'll join us on Tuesday!

πŸŽ€πŸ‘š WHO’S READY TO BRING THE PINK?! πŸ‘šπŸŽ€

We’re adding a brand new award to this year’s 25th Annual Walk for Awareness, and we want to see your BEST pink outfit! πŸ’—

Think you can take home the trophy? Whether you’re a Survivor, supporter, kid, grandparent, or anywhere in between, ANY age can compete! Go all out, keep it simple, get creative, or just wear your favorite shade of pink. We want to see what you’ve got! πŸŽ€βœ¨

Here’s how it works:
πŸ’— This is an INDIVIDUAL award, so you’re competing on your own.
πŸ’— The one exception: if an entire team shows up dressed EXACTLY alike, the award may go to the team!
πŸ’— You MUST be present at the Awards Ceremony at the end of the event to win. If you’re not there when the winner is announced, we’ll choose another winner. πŸ†

So start planning that outfit NOW! Add some sparkle, wear head-to-toe pink, coordinate with your team, break out the accessories, or come up with something completely YOU. We have a feeling this is going to be a fun one! πŸ‘€πŸ’—

🎟️ $30/person | $5/dog | Kids under 5 FREE

Register today and get ready to show us your pink! πŸ’—πŸ‘šπŸŽ€

πŸ’— Happy National Nonprofit Day! πŸ’—

Today is a day to celebrate the organizations working every day to make a difference in their communities. For us, it's also a chance to celebrate the people who make Women Supporting Women possible: our Survivors, supporters, volunteers, donors, community partners, local businesses, and everyone who has ever shown up for WSW.

Because of this incredible community, Women Supporting Women is able to provide FREE services, support, and education to individuals on their breast cancer journey and their loved ones. Our services include Newly-Diagnosed Survivor Tote Bags, wigs and head coverings, prostheses, bras, lift chair rentals, Piglet and Seatbelt Pillows, monthly support groups, mentoring, nutrition classes, educational programs, and so much more. None of this happens without a community that believes in showing up πŸ’•

If you've ever donated, attended an event, volunteered, shared one of our posts, purchased a raffle ticket, brought a friend to an event, donated an item, or simply told someone about WSW, thank you. You are part of what keeps these services free.

And as we head toward Breast Cancer Awareness Month, there are lots of ways to continue supporting WSW if you'd like to get involved:

πŸ’— Make a monetary donation
πŸ‘Ÿ Register for our 25th Annual Walk for Awareness
🎁 Donate much-needed items through an in-kind donation
πŸŽ‰ Host a third-party fundraiser with your business, friends, or family
πŸ‘₯ Volunteer your time with the organization

There is never just one way to make a difference. Your support helps make sure WSW can continue being there for Survivors and their loved ones, every step of the way. πŸ’—

Thank you for being part of the Women Supporting Women community. We truly couldn't do this without you! 🫢

For more information on the organization, to get involved with the Walk, to host a third-party fundraiser, or to make a donation, please call the WSW Office at 410-548-7880 or go to our website: https://buff.ly/dOJFaDB
