🌟Shore Gives Spotlight on Salisbury Jaycees Foundation🌟

The Salisbury Jaycees Foundation, Inc. was created in 1975 to benefit local youth of the Salisbury community. It is the intent of the Foundation to promote, sponsor and carry out charitable fundraising that benefits the annual Children’s Christmas Shopping tour, sponsored by the Salisbury Jaycees Inc. The Salisbury Jaycees Foundation is committed to bringing holiday cheer to around 200 underprivileged children in our community.

CFES was proud to support the 2026 Walk for Recovery, held today on the Ocean City Boardwalk! 💜 Now in its 15th year, the event brings our community together to raise awareness, celebrate recovery, and support individuals and families impacted by addiction. Thank you to The Atlantic Club and Worcester Goes Purple for continuing to bring hope, resources, and connection to our community.

The mission of Horizons Delmarva is to provide low-income public school students in Wicomico County with an intensive academic Summer Learning Program. It is their goal to develop the whole child; emphasizing academic, cultural, and recreational activities that promote problem-solving skills, foster awareness of community responsibility, instill respect for oneself and others, and encourage a lifelong love of learning.

🏅 Mary Gladys Jones Volunteer of the Year Award: Recognizes an individual who has made outstanding, sustained and unselfish contributions to community service. The Foundation will grant $1,000 to the winner’s charity of choice.

🏆️ Richard A. Henson Award for Nonprofit Excellence: Presented annually to a qualified 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in Somerset, Wicomico, or Worcester counties which has achieved lasting impact through innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, and the creative use of resources to address critical and emerging needs. The Foundation will grant a $5,000 donation to the recipient.

🎖️ Frank H. Morris Humanitarian Award: Recognizes an individual who has made outstanding, sustained, and unselfish contributions to community enrichment and whose vital ideas and personal sacrifices exemplify the philanthropic spirit of our community. The Foundation grants $2,500 to the winner’s charity of choice.

🌟Shore Gives Spotlight on Girls on the Run of the Greater Chesapeake🌟

Girls on the Run of the Greater Chesapeake (GOTRGC) inspires girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum integrating social-emotional learning, life skills, and physical activity to enhance girls’ social, psychological and wellbeing. GOTRGC serves girls aged 8-13, in 13 counties in Maryland including Wicomico, Worcester and Somerset counties.
