Murphy was an enthusiastic source of comfort, support, and friendship for our campers throughout the week. His presence brought smiles, calm moments, and connection when it mattered most. 💛

Our clinical team works tirelessly behind the scenes to create a meaningful and unforgettable experience for every participant. A special shoutout to THCAC Board Vice President, Misty Ratcliff—a longtime camp volunteer and truly the best art director our campers could ask for!

Our volunteers generously give their time, energy, and care to make this experience so special, and we simply couldn’t do it without them.

Last week, we were proud to host our 2026 Teen Session of Camp Triumph! 🌟

Camp Triumph, operated by the clinicians and staff of the Terrie Hess Child Advocacy Center, is a unique therapeutic camp experience that blends wellness activities, coping skill development, and relationship-building with the fun and connection of a traditional summer camp.

Participants are thoughtfully selected by our CAC clinical team from current therapy clients, based on age, individual needs, and readiness to benefit from this supportive group setting.

As the school year wraps up across Rowan County, we’re thankful to have had more than 4,000 student encounters through our Stop-Go-Tell abuse prevention program this year.

By teaching children about safe and appropriate boundaries — and empowering them to speak up when someone makes them feel uncomfortable — we are helping build safer communities for every child.
