It's Summer Reading, and this year's theme, Unearth a Story, is all about DINOSAURS! And what better way for us to celebrate than to release dino ducks into the wild around Saline?! When you are out and about this summer, go on a dino duck hunt! If you find a duck, collect it, bring it to the Saline District Library for a prize (one per person, please), and sign up for Summer Reading to be entered into a grand-prize drawing on August 11. One lucky winner will be drawn from each of the following age groups: Youth (ages 0-12), Teen (ages 13-18), Adult (ages 19+).

Did you figure out the answer to this week's 'Who's That Dinosaur?' It's Pachycephalosaurus, whose name means “thick-headed lizard!”

The first Pachycephalosaurus fragment was discovered by an American fossil collector named Ferdinand Vandeveer Hayden around 1860. Since then, Pachycephalosaurus fossils continue to be rare, and we are still learning about them and their famous domed heads.
