The Goodwill Central Coast chapter, a private 501(c)3 non-profit organization, began in 1928 in the city of Santa Cruz and today has expanded into three counties: Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Luis Obispo. Goodwill Central Coast employs over 600 people in Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Luis Obispo County, including employment training professionals, sales personnel, donation center attendants, ware

house and distribution workers, and administrators. Goodwill believes that everyone deserves the chance to join their team, which is why Goodwill Central Coast is an equal opportunity employer and an advocate for the Americans with Disabilities Act. To deliver their services, Goodwill relies on partnerships with federal and state workforce development agencies, as well as strong relationships with the local businesses that provide employment opportunities.

Having the kids back home from school can get a bit hectic. 😵‍💫 Keep little hands busy all summer long with DIY projects using thrift store finds.

1. Thrift quilts and use crates or string to build a tent.
2. Paint thrifted vases or planters to create fairy houses or personalize your garden.
3. Decorate thrifted picture frames for a unique photo display
4. Glue buttons and felt onto thrifted gloves or mittens and design your own puppet.
5. Use fabric paint, stencils and sponges to personalize a thrifted T-shirt.
