The Monterey County EMS System consists of 3 public safety communication centers, 1 EMS communication center, fire districts, municipal fire departments, and volunteer fire brigades, 4 hospitals, 1 Level II trauma center, stroke and STEMI centers, 3 paramedic ambulance providers, 2 air ambulance providers, and the EMS Agency.
