BACS SHARE Center BACS’ SHARE Center is a rapid-rehousing program that helps people transition from encampments and other un-sheltered living situations into permanent housing.

The SHARE Center is a project of the City of Salinas, the County of Monterey, and BACS. We move people off the streets into temporary housing in Monterey County, where we support them with mental health, hygiene, physical health, and employment. What we do:
* Provide short-term housing to help people transition from encampments to permanent housing, with daily meals.
* Outreach to find families/in

dividuals who could benefit from services.
* Support with all housing navigation needs, with a determined focus on exit to permanent housing.
* Break mental and physical health barriers to permanent housing, including supporting landlord-tenant relationships by addressing stigma.
* Benefits advocacy and support, and employment support.
* Independent living skills development.
* Partner with landlords through rental assistance and incentives to create housing opportunities.

responds when Monterey County Supervisor Luis A. Alejo calls! was full of joy for these families - exiting homelessness thanks to BACS, community support, volunteers, and partnering landlords. We can end homelessness while celebrating and uplifting the people we serve!

Santa visited the SHARE Center in Salinas, which serves unhoused families. Santa’s team of elves received donated gifts and distributed gifts to all 65 adults and 35 children in attendance.

XMAS SPIRIT!🎄🎁 I want to thank all the amazing Monterey County Health Dept staff for the special gifts for the 35 children they delivered today and for making monetary donations towards the purchase of gingerbread house kits for the 15 families residing at the SHARE Homeless Navigation Center🎅🏽

One can only imagine the smiles on faces & sounds of joy when they open their gifts this holiday! I want to thank all our amazing county employees for always giving back to our community! May God bless you all for your generosity & love for our families & kids!🙏🏽🙏🏽
