Vitalis Organic Seeds, North America

Vitalis Organic Seeds, North America All Vitalis seeds are Certified Organic. We are committed to producing the highest quality, disease-free seed and regionally adapted varieties.

Founded in 1994 in The Netherlands, Vitalis Organic Seeds, a division of EnzaZaden, is the global leader in organic seed production and breeding. Since entering the US and Canadian markets in 2007, Vitalis has become the principal trusted supplier of organic vegetable and herb seed in North America. Our Salinas-based sales team directly serves the needs of lettuce growers in the Salinas Valley, while our regional sales representatives work in conjunction with select regional organic seed dealers to serve the needs of open field, high tunnel and heated greenhouse growers in all other areas. All Vitalis varieties are regionally adapted and certified organic for the EU, US and Canada , and developed without the use of genetic engineering. Successful organic agricultural production begins with quality seeds. All of our varieties are thoroughly screened at the Vitalis Research Stations in Europe, Arizona, California, Florida and Culiacan, Mexico; followed by multiple regional trials for taste, appearance, performance and suitability. Seed quality and purity tests are performed in Enza Zaden’s US and European laboratories to ensure the seed is vigorous, true-to-type and disease-free. This exacting process results in the purest and most viable organic seeds available in the marketplace.
