✨ We had such a wonderful time at our Week of the Young Child “Artsy Thursday” event! 🎨💛

It was so much fun seeing all the kids and families come together. We loved watching the creativity, imagination, and exploration happening all around! We had an amazing turnout and are so grateful to everyone who came out and to all of our incredible volunteers who made it possible.

This is what Artsy Thursday is all about — encouraging children and families to spend quality time together, learning through art and play.

Thank you again, and we can’t wait to do it all over again next year! 🎉

NAEYC’s 2026 Week of the Young Child® wraps up today with Family Friday!💛

Families are a child’s first and most important teachers. Whether it’s reading a book, telling stories, or pointing out words, colors, and shapes in everyday life—small moments create big learning opportunities! 📚🎨🛑

For child care professionals, Family Friday is all about family engagement. Strong partnerships between families and caregivers help children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. Together, we can build positive connections that support every child’s growth and development.

PIECE partners have organized a fun, FREE family carnival. Join us for an evening of laughter, connection, and family fun as we wrap up this incredible week together. Let’s celebrate the power of family and community!
