MOVIES IN THE PARK ANNOUNCES 2026 LINEUP FOR SALEM
The Salem Parks and Recreation Department is excited to present an array of family-friendly movies for the 2026 season of “Movies In The Park”. The city’s popular summertime movie series will take place at Kiwanis Park for third straight year. Salem’s historic multi-purpose facility is located on the corner of Florida and 6th Streets, and the venue has been hosting entertainment and sports events since it opened in 1932.

On Friday, June 26, the free monthly entertainment begins with the Dreamworks animated picture “Bad Guys 2”. This is an adventure-filled crime-comedy starring the voices of Sam Rockwell, Mark Maron, and Aaron Blabey. Gates will open at 7 p.m. and the movie will begin at dusk, around 8:30 p.m. As always, admission is absolutely free for all ages.

This year’s other movies for the summer of 2026 include – “Lilo & Stitch” on July 24, “Elio” on August 21, and “How to Train Your Dragon” on September 18.

These Friday night events, sponsored by Renewal by Andersen, are designed for the entire family to enjoy a free night at the movies under the stars, so everyone is welcome to bring chairs and a blanket. Refreshments will be available at the Kiwanis Park concession stands. Cash Only.

Please remember that pets are not allowed at these events. For additional information, please call Salem Parks and Recreation (540) 375-3057.
