We’re off to a great start in the library!

This week, we read The Invisible Boy and Molly Lou Melon and talked about kindness, including others, and being proud of who we are. We also learned our library rules and how to be responsible library patrons.
We’re excited for a wonderful year of reading, learning, and discovering new worlds together!

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to visit Mr. Thurgood at Barnett Elementary and deliver a farewell gift since we weren’t able to celebrate him at the end of last school year. ❤️

Mr. Thurgood spent 20 years at Foothills Elementary, and we are so grateful for the many years he dedicated to our Falcons. He has been such an important part of Foothills, and he will definitely be missed!

While it’s hard to see him go, we know Barnett Elementary is lucky to have him and will love him just as much as we do.

Thank you, Mr. Thurgood, for 20 incredible years of service to Foothills! We wish you all the best as you begin this exciting new chapter!

Reminder: Our first PTO meeting of the year is tomorrow, Tuesday, September 1st at 10:00 AM at the school!

We’ll be discussing our upcoming Fall Festival, and we need fresh ideas and extra hands, especially for Spook Alley and game booths. If you're into crafting and party planning, this is for you!

Whether you want to lead an activity, volunteer for an hour, or just listen in, all parents are welcome.

Kiddos in tow? Bring them along—little ones are always welcome!

Mrs Barber’s Class talked about what it means to be a Class Family. Each student picked a word they thought represented a part of our family, and we put them on a bracelet so we could always remember.

Miss Carlile’s class has been working on building a classroom community! Each group was tasked with building a bridge that would stand on its own using popsicle sticks and marshmallows. We love teamwork!
