Yesterday, the Washington County Economic Growth Partnership joined Advantage Built Homes, TPG Real Estate Group , and community partners to celebrate the ribbon cutting for two newly constructed homes in Salem!
Housing plays an essential role in economic development. More housing options helps us welcome new residents, retain our local workforce, and support the businesses that call Washington County home.

WCEGP has had some great opportunities to make connections and represent Washington County!

In September, Executive Director Ashley Conrad and Mayor Justin Green, who also serves as WCEGP Board President, attended the Midwest U.S.–Japan Conference alongside the South Central Indiana economic development group. They brought along LM Sugarbush, LLC maple syrup to share a taste of Washington County—and it was a hit!

Last week, Ashley also attended the Women in Economic Development Conference in Chicago, where she had the opportunity to connect with women who work in site selection and fellow economic development professionals, exchange ideas, and build relationships.

Thank you to Jackson County REMC for providing the scholarship that made attending the women’s conference possible!

The WCEGP Small Business Grant Program is now accepting applications, with up to $2,000 available to help support and improve your business!

A great funding opportunity for Washington County organizations!

WCCF has opened their Fall Grant Cycle. Funds for the $100,000 grant cycle are made possible through our generous donors and the Foundation’s Touch Tomorrow Funds.

Grant applications for the fall grant cycle are available by calling the WCCF office or visiting our website at https://wccf.biz/.../grant.../731-semi-annual-cycle to download an application. The application deadline will be 3:30pm, September 3, 2026.

Yesterday was a great day for economic development in Washington County!

We were glad to welcome Kovenant Liby with the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC), Cindy Mahoney with Southern Indiana Works, and Christy Ralston with Ivy Tech Community College for a day of conversations and business visits alongside Mayor Justin Green and WCEGP.

Throughout the day, we had valuable conversations with local businesses about workforce needs, supply chain opportunities, and future expansion plans. Bringing our local businesses together with state and regional partners helps ensure Washington County stays connected to the resources and support that can help our businesses grow.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to meet with us and share what’s happening within their businesses. We appreciate our partners for spending the day in Washington County and learning more about the opportunities here!
