Fisher Launches “Bologna Pledge” Challenging Politicians to Forgo $178 Daily Per Diem Until Oregon Is Affordable
Hubbard, OR – Oregon Legislative House District 18 candidate Ben Fisher has announced the launch of the Bologna Pledge, calling on candidates and elected officials across Oregon to refuse the $178 per diem legislators collect from taxpayers each day just for showing up.
“Groceries, gas, and rent are hitting Oregon families harder than ever. Meanwhile Salem keeps cashing in. That isn’t leadership. That’s out of touch,” Fisher said. “If families are tightening their belts, politicians should too. No perks until people can afford to live.”
