A Message from the Salem City TNR Program Coordinator, Brenda Austin. "The City of Salem’s TNR Project is in need of donations of Styrofoam shipping containers or old coolers such as those pictured, to be converted into winter cat shelters. The shelters will be offered as available, primarily to the community cat caretakers providing care for feral and homeless cats residing within Salem City limits.

We’ve had a limited number donated to date, mainly from Salem hospital, which have already been modified and put into use.

Local pharmacies may be another source. If you or someone you know works in a pharmacy which may be willing to donate their empty containers, please comment with the contact name and number so we may reach out and arrange pickup.

If you have an old cooler you’d like to donate, please comment and I’ll message you to arrange pickup or delivery.

Thank you."
