Recently officers from Elsinboro Fire Company had the honor of attending the celebration of life for one of our beloved residents and longtime supporters, Liz Yerkes.
Liz was a generous and compassionate friend of our fire company for many years. Her unwavering support helped strengthen our mission and support the volunteers who proudly serve this community every day. She truly embodied our motto, “Neighbors Helping Neighbors,” and her kindness touched countless lives both within our organization and throughout the community.
In recognition of her extraordinary generosity, friendship, and lasting impact, we are proud to announce the dedication of our hall in her honor. Moving forward, it will be known as the Liz Yerkes Hall.
During the service, Chief Sean Elwell shared remarks reflecting on Liz’s incredible legacy of service, compassion, and community spirit. Her support was never simply about donations, it was about believing in people, service, and helping others in their time of need.
Because of Liz’s continued commitment, our members were better equipped to answer calls, train, and serve those who rely on us during difficult moments. Her legacy will continue to live on through the work we do each day and through the many lives she impacted with her kindness.
On behalf of everyone at Elsinboro Fire Company, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for her years of friendship and steadfast support.
She will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever appreciated.
