The mobile unit will be at the Salamonia Fire Station doing low-dose lung screenings on March 31st from 9am - 4:30pm. If you are 50-80 and smoked as an adult, the scan will cost nothing out of pocket. Insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid will cover it all. Scan the QR code or call 317-962-5864 to schedule an appointment.

The mobile market will be at the Salamonia Fire Station Saturday, July 6th from 10-12. The last I knew, trailer is out of commission, but they will have a van with food items in it.

The Second Harvest Mobile Market will be at the Salamonia Fire Station Saturday, June 1 from 10 am - noon. No proof of income needed, all families are welcome. Please spread the word! We welcome volunteers as well.

Attention Salamonia and southeastern Jay County residents: Second Harvest food bank’s Mobile Market has been scheduled to be at the Salamonia Fire Station the first Saturday of the month starting in April. We chose this day so you could drop off your recycling items and then stop by the mobile market. THIS IS NOT A TAILGATE DISTRIBUTION. The mobile market allows you to choose the foods you want. They told me there would be fresh and frozen foods. Please share with those who don’t have Facebook. I’m going to try to distribute some flyers around the area too. Anyone who would like to volunteer to help those who may need assistance shopping, please contact me (Lisa Manor).

Another phase of remodeling completed at Salamonia Volunteer Fire Station. Our kitchen was in dire need of this facelift. We finally have a water softener! Thanks to Jamy Mcquillan Manor and Adam Manor for doing the bulk of the work. Bruce Manor and I, Emily Manor and Tyler Manor and a few of his friends pitched in to help a couple of evenings.

Just a public service announcement: If you are planning on getting a fish sandwich at the Tri state ground’s tomorrow, you better get it by noon. We are running low on fish and not sure if we can get any more. We have had a lot of amazing and hungry customers the past 2 days.

A huge shout out to everyone who stopped by Salamonia Volunteer Fire Department for supper tonight! Our fundraisers helped pay for the remodel of our bathroom and new pagers and radios. We had a great turnout for the rotten weather. We appreciate every one of you! ❤️
Also, thanks to all our workers today. You were amazing.
