Marcus Cooper, 28, of Salamanca, was issued UTT's following a traffic stop in the City. Cooper was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended Registration. Cooper was released with a later court date.

Tahya Ingersoll, 29, of Salamanca, was taken into custody following a complaint in the City. Ingersoll was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Criminal Mischief 3rd, Criminal Contempt of a Court Order 1st, as well as Harassment 2nd. Ingersoll was processed and held for arraignment.

On May 20th, 2026 at approximately 1am Patrol responded to the area of River Street in the City of Salamanca for reports of a stabbing. Patrols were immediately in the area and located the victim. The victim was transported to Olean General Hospital via ambulance. Following a brief search the suspect was located nearby and taken into custody. Patrol was assisted by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office, New York State Troopers, New York State Park Police as well as the Seneca Nation Marshals.
Brett Williams 29 of Salamanca was charged with Assault 1st and 2nd Degree, also Criminal Possession of a weapon in the 3rd degree. Williams was arraigned and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail.

Rose Bickford, 44, of Salamanca, was taken into custody following a complaint of . Bickford was charged with Assault in the 3rd degree. Bickford was processed and held for arraignment as well as an order of protection.

Marvin Shantler, 30, of Olean, was taken into custody on a Bench Warrant issued out of the City of Salamanca Court, Shantler was processed, arraigned, and turned back over to the Custody of the Cattaraugus County Jail.

Andrew Button, 35, of Salamanca, was taken into custody on a Bench Warrant issued out of the City of Salamanca Court. Button was processed and held for arraignment.

Levi Brown, 49, of Little Valley, was taken into custody following a traffic stop in the City. Brown was charged with Failure to Signal, Consuming Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle, Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Refusal to take a Breath Test, Driving White Intoxicated Previous Conviction in 10 years, as well as Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 1st Degree. Brown was Processed and held for arraignment.

James Hudson, 49, of Salamanca, was issued an appearance ticket for Open Burn. Hudson is due back in court at a later date.

Jimmie Thompson, 38, of Niagara Falls, was taken into custody following a traffic stop in the City of Salamanca. Thompson was charged with Speed in Zone and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd degree. Thompson had an active warrant out of Cheektowaga Police, he was subsequently turned over to their custody.

Michael Hale, 46, of Salamanca, was taken into custody on an arrest warrant issued out of the City of Salamanca Court. Hale was charged with Criminal Mischief 4th as well as Criminal Possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree. Hale was processed and released with a later court date.

Melvin Smith, 37, of Salamanca, was issued UTT's following a traffic stop in the City. Smith was charged with Unsafe turn as well as Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd degree. Smith was released roadside with a later court date.

Christopher Demartino, 62, of Cattaraugus, was taken into custody following a complaint in the City. Demartino was charged with Criminal Contempt of a Court Order 2nd, as well as Disorderly Conduct. Subsequently it was discovered that Demartino had an active bench warrant out of Cheektowaga Police Department. Lori Cobb, 59, of Jamestown, was issued UTT's following a traffic stop in the City. Cobb was issued Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd, Operating a Motor Vehicle by an Unlicensed Driver, Improper Left hand turn, as well as Failure to Keep Right. Cobb was issued and released from the scene with a later court date.

Leon Pire, 22, of Salamanca, was taken into custody on a Fugitive of Justice Warrant issued out of Mckean County PA. Pire was additionally charged with resisting arrest following a foot pursuit. April 24, 2026 at 343 am Salamanca Police report the arrest of Angela Orr of Bath,NY following a drug investigation in the city after officers located over 13 grams of co***ne and over $1,800.00 cash. As a result of this investigation Orr was charged with 3 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree with intent to sell (B Felony), 1 count of Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree (A Misdemeanor). Upon processing Orr was found to be concealing more drugs upon her person entering a secure holding facility when officers found over a gram of methamphetamine and several OxyCodone pills. Orr was subsequently charged with Introducing Dangerous Contraband into a Prison (D Felony). Orr was processed and held pending arraignment. Orr is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
