What a beautiful night at Vets Park for our Wild Robot movie celebration! 🌙🎬❤️

Thank you to everyone who came out and embraced One District, One Book. From the very beginning, this was never just about reading a book—it was about creating these small but meaningful moments where our community comes together through literacy.

We had an amazing turnout for our end-of-book movie celebration and loved seeing so many happy families enjoying the evening together. Watching our students and families connect through a shared story reminds us why experiences like this matter.

Thank you again for your support and to everyone who took the time to share this book experience with our kids. Your enthusiasm, participation, and love of reading helped make this such a special event.

It was a busy day for the sophomores as they continued their adventure through the city of Boston. They started out visiting the Boston aquarium, followed by the Codzilla speed boat ride through the lost Harbour

We ventured over to Fenway Park and caught the Boston Red Sox vs Baltimore Orioles game followed by the Boston duck tour

Members of the Class of 2028 embarked on a 4 day trip to Boston! Tonight we checked out the Prudential Center observation deck and saw the beautiful city scape! Tomorrow we head to the Boston aquarium, followed by a Red Sox game and the duck tours!

🎉 Celebrating Student Success! 🎉

On June 2, two of our high school students were recognized for their outstanding work and dedication by receiving scholarship awards for the portfolios they created in their College and Career class this past fall.

After presenting their portfolios and participating in interviews with three members of the Niagara Frontier Industry and Education Council on May 19 at Erie 1 BOCES, Jelena Hawkins and Kyleigh Rohwer were each awarded $250 scholarships during the breakfast awards ceremony held at Michael’s Banquet Facility.

Students were told that competition for the grand prize scholarship of $5,000 was extremely competitive, but both represented Salamanca exceptionally well and made our school community proud.

We are incredibly proud of Jelena and Kyleigh for their hard work, professionalism, and achievement in earning this honor. Congratulations to both students on this well-deserved recognition! 👏🎓

This event supports the SHS Class of 2027 Senior Trip and continues The Cynthia Mohr Scholarship Fund, helping students achieve their future goals.

Seniors, Makenzie Crouse and Jorja Miller have achieved a historic milestone for Salamanca City Central School District by earning their New York State Seal of Biliteracy. They are the first in our district to achieve this honor. Their accomplishment reflects years of perseverance and commitment to language learning.

Through research, dedicated language study, and lots of practice they successfully delivered a culmination project to a panel of teachers. They met several rigorous requirements from New York State Office of Bilingual Education and World Language, proving their competency in both English and Seneca language.

Salamanca High School is excited for this opportunity for future students. Makenzie and Jorja paved the way for others to follow in their footsteps!
