Keep our community safe by ensuring your pets are vaccinated against Rabies!

Free Rabies Clinics - for dogs, cats, and ferrets from 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Locations:
Tuesday, Sept. 8 - Allegany (3108 N. 7th St., Allegany, County DPW Garage)
Thursday, Sept. 10 - Franklinville (8600 Rt. 16 Machias, County DPW Garage)
Tuesday, Sept. 15 - Lyndon (828 Lyndon Center Rd., Lyndon Vol. Fire Co.)
A one year certificate will be issued unless you provide proof of previous rabies vaccination.
Remember:
Rabies vaccinations are required for all dogs, cats, and ferrets.
There is no charge, but donations are accepted to help defray.
Please have animals on a leash or in a carrier.

The Salamanca Common Council will hold its regular meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, September 9, at 7:00 PM in the Court Room of the Municipal Building.

A work session will begin at approximately 6:30 PM to review agenda items and sign bills. No official action will be taken during the work session.

Items on the agenda include:

• Public Works staffing updates
• Authorization to submit a NYS Law Enforcement Technology Grant application for Police Department equipment
• Consideration of a $258,950 professional services proposal for the State Park Avenue Development Project
• Street closures for the Falling Leaves Festival
• Public discussion and other City business

Residents are encouraged to stay informed and follow the work of their local government.

We’re officially in the homestretch!

September is our final month of the City of Salamanca Vendor and Farmers Market, Days and we’d love to finish the season strong.

School may be back in session and schedules may be getting busier, but there’s still time to stop by Jefferson Street Park, browse our local vendors, pick up something fresh or handmade.

Every visit matters to the vendors who show up each week and helps us continue building a stronger market for Salamanca.
