Summer Reading Kick-Off Party! Our The Friends of Salado Public Library , teen volunteers, new friends from the local Starbucks, and our library patrons are who made this day fantastic.

Over 500 of you came to our Summer Reading Kick-Off party, and over 800 of you have already registered for the summer reading program!

We couldn’t have made it through today without the help of so many people. To our friends at Brookshire Brothers, thank you for letting us use your lot for overflow parking! We greatly appreciate you!! To our new friends at Starbucks—a million thanks for all of the free cake pops, drinks, and your time!!! We are grateful for your generosity to us and our patrons! To our amazing volunteers—THANKS for all of your help making today so seamless! We love this community, and days like today reminder us why we do what we do! Your smiling faces filled our hearts!

As you may well know, parking during our events tends to be scarce. Our friends at Brookshire Brothers is generously allowing for additional parking in their lot! The dropped red pin is a pick-up location for our shuttle volunteers should you need to wait for a ride over! Wait by the blue Lowe’s bucket in the second photo!

🚗Parking is limited: Please use the library property & the duplex that's located right behind our building (26 & 28 Mill Creek) to park. You may need to park further away and walk down to the library.

NOTE: Avoid parking at Ace Hardware, vehicles could be towed from their parking area.
