Last night Corporal Christopher Bradford was recognized at the MADD Heartland Banquet in St.Louis for his dedication and commitment to DWI enforcement and traffic safety.

Corporal Bradford’s proactive efforts in detecting and removing impaired drivers from our roadways have helped make our community safer for everyone traveling through Ste. Genevieve. Through continued enforcement, education, and professionalism, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to protecting the citizens of our community from the dangers of impaired driving.

Driving while impaired continues to be one of the leading causes of serious crashes and fatalities across the nation. Recognition such as this highlights the importance of proactive enforcement and the officers who work tirelessly to keep dangerous drivers off the road.

Please join us in congratulating Corporal Bradford on this well-deserved recognition from MADD Heartland. We are proud to have him representing the Ste. Genevieve Police Department and serving our community. 🚔

🚨 Community Update 🚨

We’ve been made aware of a recent public Facebook post by Mr. Crump regarding an officer conducting traffic enforcement at a local stop sign.

Interestingly enough, the Ste. Genevieve Police Department had already received complaints about that exact stop sign prior to this post. As part of our commitment to public safety, we take those concerns seriously which is why officers have been actively monitoring the area.

Traffic enforcement isn’t random or personal. It’s often a direct response to citizen complaints and safety concerns. When we receive reports about a problem area, we address it. That includes making sure traffic laws like stopping at stop signs are being followed.

So yes… if you’ve noticed an officer in that location, it’s because someone asked us to be there.

As always, we appreciate the community’s input. Just remember when you request enforcement, there’s a good chance you’ll see enforcement.

Drive safe, come to a complete stop, and we’ll all get along just fine. 👍

🚨 Reality Check for a Safer Future 🚨

Recently, students at Ste. Genevieve High School took part in a powerful mock accident scenario designed to show the very real consequences of impaired driving.

Officer Harris worked closely with the students, making sure they understood that impaired driving doesn’t just affect the person behind the wheel—it impacts friends, families, and an entire community. The message was clear: one bad decision can change lives forever.

These types of events aren’t meant to scare—they’re meant to educate and prepare. Seeing the reality firsthand leaves a lasting impression that we hope stays with these students long after graduation.

Make the right choice.
🚫 Don’t drive impaired.
