As the City of St. Petersburg continues to expand youth opportunities and programs, St. Petersburg Fire Rescue is excited to grow this yearโs Camp Ignite! Our goal is to help build the future of emergency response from within our own community by fostering leadership, confidence, and interest in the fire service among local youth. Camp Ignite is the perfect opportunity to inspire and engage the next generation of hometown heroes.
This free, inspiring three-day camp for girls ages 12โ17 is organized and led by St. Petersburg Fire Rescue personnel. Participants will gain hands-on experience through activities including fire hose operations, vehicle extrication, rope rescue drills, team-building challenges, protective equipment familiarization, and CPR certification valid for two years.
Designed to empower young women while introducing them to careers in fire rescue and emergency services, Camp Ignite helps build confidence, leadership skills, and teamwork in a fun and supportive environment.
