Judy Cole, who served as a Friends of North Community Library officer as president and treasurer for many years, passed away on August 27th surrounded by her three loving daughters.

Judy earned her master's degree in Library Science and became a librarian, a career she loved deeply. Her love of books and learning was a defining part of who she was. She loved to read, to learn, and to share in the discovery of new ideas. She was also a friend to animals, fostering many cats and dogs.

We were so fortunate to have Judy as part of our Friends of the Library community. To honor her memory, a Celebration of Life will be held on September 27th; please see details shown below. All are welcomed.

It's time to reserve your seat for the inspiring September 19th program to learn how puppies become trained guide and service dogs. Discover how these highly-skilled dogs become invaluable companions to help not only sight-impaired individuals but also veterans, people living with type 1 diabetes, and Gold Star family members carrying the weight of personal loss.
