Join us Friday, June 26 for “Still We Rise: The Chattaway Legacy Concert” featuring Sister Nancy and hosted by Kirky C of Poison Dart at The Chattaway.

This official Juneteenth Afterparty celebrates two great community legacies while supporting the James B. Sanderlin Neighborhood Family Center through the Chattaway Legacy Fund. Proceeds will help sustain financial literacy programming for youth and families and support our new social service and education facility.

Tickets include a meal and two drinks. If you can’t make the event, donations are also being accepted to support the cause.

The James B. Sanderlin Neighborhood Family Center is hiring a Staff Accountant to join our team. This position offers a starting salary of $65,000 and an opportunity to make a difference in a mission-driven nonprofit agency serving children and families in our community.

Qualifications:
• BA in Accounting or related field
• QuickBooks experience required
• Experience with grant management is a plus

Responsibilities include:
• Processing payroll
• Preparing journal entries
• Account reconciliations
• Month-end closeouts
• Financial statements
• Managing and maintaining the General Ledger (GL)

“One of the major challenges for urban agriculture is the disconnect between consumers and farmers,” Roux said. “Food magically appears in a supermarket and magically disappears when you swallow it.”

Part of 15th St Farm's work is to peel back that mystery by creating opportunities for local residents to get their hands dirty in the garden, building connections between people and nature and inspiring healthier, more nutritionally dense eating.
