Join us Tuesday, September 15 at 10:00 a.m. as we break ground on our new Education and Social Service Center.

This is more than a new building. It is an investment in children, families and the future of our community.

We’re hiring teachers to serve as tutors at the Sanderlin Center! 📚🍎

If you’re a teacher who enjoys helping students build their reading skills, we’d love to have you join our academic aftercare team. Help us provide focused tutoring and reading interventions that give students the extra support they need to succeed.

💰 $35 per hour
⏰ 4:00–6:00 PM, Monday–Thursday
📚 Up to 2 hours per week

📣 WE’RE HIRING: EDUCATION DIRECTOR!
Are you passionate about helping children succeed academically and creating engaging learning experiences? The James B. Sanderlin Neighborhood Family Center is looking for an Education Director to lead our Education Department and support the important work of our Youth Workers.
Our Education Director will oversee literacy interventions, tutoring, curriculum implementation, enrichment activities, and the direct care and supervision of youth in our programs.
We’re looking for someone with:
🎓 Associate degree in Education or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred
⭐ Experience and Florida Director Credential may substitute for degree
📚 Florida Staff Credential or equivalent education coursework required
👩🏽‍🏫 At least 2 years of teaching, aftercare, camp, or related experience
💡 Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
📖 Experience implementing curriculum with fidelity is a must
🤝 Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
🚐 Valid driver’s license and willingness to transport children in a 15-passenger van
💰 Salary: $52,000–$57,000

Join us every Thursday for Thriving Thursday, our evening food pantry created with working families in mind!

From 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, families can stock up on fresh produce, frozen foods, pantry staples, and more, all in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Need more than groceries? We're here for you. Our confidential Family Support Services are available to connect you with resources and assistance for whatever life may bring.

Because every family deserves the opportunity to thrive.

For 35 years, the James B. Sanderlin Neighborhood Family Center has been a place where children and families have learned, grown, and found hope.
Now, it's time to begin the next chapter.
Join us on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. as we celebrate our Breaking Down the Walls Groundbreaking Celebration and officially launch the capital campaign for our new Education and Social Service Center.
This is more than a groundbreaking. It is a commitment to the future of our community. Together, we are creating a place where more children and families will have access to educational opportunities, family support services, and resources that strengthen lives for generations to come.
