🇺🇸 National Police Week 🇺🇸

This week, we honor the men and women of law enforcement who put on the badge every day with courage, integrity, and dedication to serving others. National Police Week is a time to remember the officers who made the ultimate sacrifice and to recognize those who continue to protect our communities with professionalism and compassion.

To all current and retired officers, dispatchers, support staff, and the families who stand beside them — thank you for your service and sacrifice.

Here in our community, we are proud of the officers who work tirelessly to keep our citizens safe, build relationships, and answer the call whenever needed. Your commitment does not go unnoticed.

Please join us in showing appreciation for law enforcement officers everywhere during National Police Week. 💙

Despite rainfall received on Friday and Sunday, Robeson County remains under drought conditions, with ground and vegetation still extremely dry.

As a result, the burn ban issued by the Robeson County Fire Marshal’s Office and the N.C. Forest Service remains in effect until further notice.

All open burning—including leaves, brush, and other debris—is strictly prohibited. Current conditions present a high risk for rapidly spreading wildfires that can endanger lives, property, and natural resources.

Residents are strongly urged to comply with the burn ban and take extra precautions to prevent accidental fires. Violations may result in fines and penalties.
