There are brilliant members of our community who are thinking harder than anyone about how to address homelessness in Saint Paul. Their perspectives deserve so much more time and space than two minutes at a public hearing, so we made a mini podcast of sorts to have one part of the much longer public conversation that is needed. Watch it on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dx2yKHXDzTo Or, find it on your desired podcast site by searching for "SPNN Podcast"

I want to give a simply massive thank you to Seneca Krueger, Tatyana Finklea, Kat Donnelly, and Kyle Lipinski for the impossible, essential work they do every single day, and for being so generous with their time and expertise.

Please also consider this an official plug for the Saint Paul Neighborhood Network, where we recorded this conversation and where they have spent decades helping Saint Paulites tell critical stories to drive social change. If you’re not already familiar, learn more about them at www.spnn.org

I’m really curious for thoughts & reactions on this as a way to dive deeper into the issues we’re working on in City Hall. I am, clearly, not a podcaster, but I also think that so much of the work of building our city deserves so much more space than one hearing or Policy Committee meeting.

In summary, we have so, so much work to do to ensure every member of our community has a safe and stable place to call home. We’re not going to get there this week or this year, but we *can* get there. We have people in our own city who know the way. We just have to be willing to listen.

- Molly
