Have you ever volunteered? If you have, then you know the feeling of accomplishment when you contribute your time and talent to see someone learn or reach a goal. It's never too late to volunteer at VSS...help teach English, take a Vietnamese or Karen elder to an appointment; assist our health or self-sufficiency program staff with completing paperwork. By volunteering your time, you are helping someone develop skills to have a safer and healthier quality of life in the U.S. Stop by or give us a call.

Interesting facts about Myanmar (Burma)-there are eights indigenous groups in Myanmar: Akha, Karen, H'mong, Lahu, Lisu, Palaung, Shan and Wa, 50 million people and 108 languages in four language groups. There are about 5,000 Karen that live in Minnesota.
