Check out the October Save Food, Spend Less challenge run by Hennepin County this year to help find savings at the grocery store and in your kitchen!
This past session, I authored a bill to ban surveillance pricing at grocery stores. Essentially it would disallow grocers to use your shopping data to change the price of an item more than once per 24hr period, ensuring the price you pay isn’t artificially inflated to charge you more.
Think: surge pricing on ride-share apps - they know you need a ride during those times and increase the rates accordingly.
Let me know if you join the challenge! I’m always looking to save money feeding a family of six, and always working to put money back in your pockets.
