Project REACH/Fostering Connections

Project REACH/Fostering Connections At Project REACH and Fostering Connections, we work to support the education of children in foster care or who are experiencing homelessness.

We work with Saint Paul Public Schools and other community agencies to support the education of children in foster care or experiencing homelessness. We do everything from coordinating
school transportation to contacting agencies that provide medical assistance. If you are homeless, you can count on us to support your child’s educational experience. Students and families are eligible if they live:

•In a shelter
•In a motel or hotel
•In a vehicle
•At a campground
•On the street
•With friends and family due to a
financial issue and because they have no other place to live
•In an emergency shelter and are
awaiting foster care placement
Or if you are:
•A youth who is not in the physical
custody of a parent or legal guardian
•or a youth in foster care

The Title I Project REACH program provides tutoring services to several homeless shelters in the City of Saint Paul.

The program is looking to hire certified teachers who are highly qualified in reading and math for hourly after-school tutoring (Job ID1020796). These educators would assist children experiencing homelessness with enrichment lessons in reading, writing and math.

The tutoring assignments are from 2-4 hours per day for 1-4 days per week. Most of the available hours are between the hours of 4-8 p.m.

Teachers hired for these positions may work at various sites including emergency, domestic abuse or transitional shelters.
