Mosquitoes can breed in anything that holds water! Mason from our vector crew in St. Paul found larvae in a playground slide. With drought conditions and pond levels low, mosquitoes are looking for anywhere to deposit eggs and they’ll find any water that is left out. Check your yard!

We had a great time at the AV8 Helicopter Expo on Saturday! Here are some photos of the day:

Happy World Mosquito Day!

The American Mosquito Control Association has put out a call for their mascot Meep to travel to mosquito control districts all around the world today. So welcome to MN Meep!

Today we wanted to highlight the reason we exist: public health. While MN may not be considered a hot-bed of mosquito-borne diseases, there still are some that pop up each summer. All of these diseases can be very serious and sometimes cause permanent disability or death. This is the reason MMCD was created and we take pride in serving our communities to make the outdoors more enjoyable and safer.
