For the EMS community, 9/11 stands as a powerful reminder of our commitment to service, preparedness, and compassion. We pay tribute to the EMS providers, firefighters, law enforcement officers, and healthcare professionals whose actions exemplified the highest ideals of public safety.

As we pause to reflect, we reaffirm our dedication to supporting Minnesota’s EMS professionals and ensuring they have the tools, training, and resources needed to meet every call—today and every day.

Looking for pediatric continuing education? Our partners at the Heartland EMS for Children Coalition (HECC) are offering a free virtual symposium on pediatric burn care.

Seeking Community Reviewers for Treatment-in-Place Grants

The Minnesota Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS) is seeking volunteers to serve as Community Reviewers for the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) Treatment-in-Place (TIP) Grant.

If you're a Minnesota resident with experience or a background in emergency medical services or a related field, consider applying to help review and evaluate grant proposals. Community reviewers play an important role in helping ensure grant funding decisions are informed by a wide range of perspectives from across the state.

As a reviewer, you will:
✔ Review approximately 10 grant proposals remotely
✔ Participate in a reviewer orientation
✔ Commit approximately 10–20 hours during late August through early September
✔ Help support the grantmaking process for Minnesota ambulance services

SAMHSA has announced the FY 2026 Rural Emergency Medical Services (R-EMS) Training Grant Program. Eligible rural EMS agencies may apply for up to $300,000 per year to support workforce recruitment, training, behavioral health initiatives, and related activities.
