Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom

Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom Our educational programs provide a wealth of opportunities for embedding agriculture, food and natural resources education into the K-12 classroom.

MAITC seeks to improve student achievement by applying authentic agricultural examples to teach core curriculum concepts in science, social studies, language arts, math and nutrition. These programs cultivate an understanding and appreciation of the food and fiber system that we all rely on every day.

"I want people to know where their food comes from."

Meet Sarah Scherber of Scherber’s MorningStar Dairy! For Sarah, hosting a Farm Camp isn't just about showing off the cows; it’s about transparency and connection. From the "maternity ward" where calves are born to the technology in the milking parlor, Sarah helps students understand the hard work and heart that goes into every gallon of milk.

Whether it's a first grader seeing a cow for the first time or a high schooler exploring ag careers, MorningStar Dairy is helping bridge the gap between the farm and the table.
