It's been a year without Melissa, Mark, and Gilbert.
We are forever changed. We miss them every day.
May we all continue to heal, grieve, and celebrate their legacy.

We also hold Senator John Hoffman, Yvette, and Hope in our hearts and rejoice they are still with us today.

Yesterday, Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board and I celebrated the opening of the new trail connection at Ole Olson Park. Sen. Bobby Joe Champion and I secured $3 million from the state for this project back in 2020.

This trail connection is not the end, but the start. I’m going to continue working with everyone and fight for state dollars at the Capitol so we can continue our journey of building a better community. I am committed to this work, and I’m so excited for what the future has in store for North Minneapolis.

Happy Pride, Minnesota! We will always stand in solidarity with our 2SLGBTQIA+ siblings and relatives, fighting for an inclusive state where everyone belongs, thrives, and can live authentically.

This month and every month- know that you are sacred and you belong EVERWHERE. In all the forms of q***r, you matter, YOU belong. No politician or legislation will EVER determine our value or worth. Our dignity is intrinsic; it is not granted, and it cannot be taken away.

We will always fight to protect our trans and two-spirit siblings and build a world where trans kids can become trans elders.

Forever here, forever q***r. Stay safe. We love you all! ❤️🩷🧡💛💚💙🩵💜🖤🤍🤎
