You may have seen the City of St. Paul Park on the news recently for a new fire suppression device used to calm a fire enough for two family dogs to be rescued. Our Officer Steve Quinones was first on scene to the fire and kicked in the door in order to provide access for assisting Washington County Sheriff's Office to utilize their just received device. Fire soon arrived and the dogs were rescued with this multi department and agency cooperative response. Here is a link to the story for one of the many media sources that highlighted the story: https://kstp.com/kstp-news/local-news/officials-highlight-new-suppression-device-that-saved-a-house-2-dogs-from-a-fire/
We are happy to announce our local Newport Masonic Lodge #118 will be raising funds to be able provide these devices to the St. Paul Park Police and Fire Departments.

Ordinances are violations of laws set by the City and aren't always popular, this is likely one of them, but we have started receiving complaints about the use of scooters and bicycles with a motor (gas or electric). Per St. Paul Park Code of Ordinances, section 46-12 : "It shall be unlawful for any person to operate or cause to be operated in the city upon any public property, playground, park, school grounds or boulevard or sidewalk, any motor scooter, go-cart, bicycle, or other conveyance which is propelled by any motor or engine using any type fuel or electrical energy, and which is exempt from licensing by any federal, state or local law."
It is also against ordinance (Section 66-92) to operate ATVs, side-by-sides, dirt bikes and golf carts, in the same locations as listed above.
The only location the methods of transport listed above are legal to operate is on that person's private property, or on the property of another in which permission was received.
This is being posted as we have received complaints about these being ridden in parks, on sidewalks, and on the streets (sometimes in the middle of the street).

And just like that, this little mister was picked up by his momma. Thank you for keeping an eye on these posts and letting your friends/family know if you think you recognize the pups posted.
Oh my, look at this little thing. They were found wandering this morning (02/22) in the 800 block of Portland. There is no collar and no chip. We will have them at the PD for a bit today in hopes someone will claim them.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families, friends, and partners of those who tragically lost their lives today.

We are asking the public's assistance to check any exterior cameras they may have that face the road that live in the area of Summit and Broadway and on the 600-700 blocks of Summit Ave. This vehicle (2021 Dodge Challenger S**t Pack) was stolen today, 01-12-24 around 730AM and we are looking for any suspicious vehicles and/or people just prior or after that time. A suggested time search would be between 7AM and 745AM. If you have anything that might be helpful, please contact Det. Fridstrom at 651-459-9785, reference case number SP24000154. Thank you.

Since this is NOT what we are all saying at the moment and it’s a holiday weekend we are not enforcing the overnight parking ban through January 2nd… If the weather changes and there is a higher likeliness of measureable snow, this may change and we will let you know. Otherwise safe travels and enjoy your hopefully time off.

Its that time of year winter amnesia is here😱 PLEASE SLOW DOWN. Four wheel drive is the equivalent of four wheel slide when it comes to icy surfaces. This small amount of snow is deceiving - there is black ice on the roads. Make it to your destination safely.
