Reminder: No Parking on Bertrand Avenue between 7th Street and 4th Street from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 27th.
All parking spaces must be cleared due to the parade, which will feature Ft. Riley’s Mounted Color Guard and 1ID band performing a live-mounted demonstration that requires a clear space of at least 80 feet.

Therefore, Bertrand Avenue needs to be clear of vehicles during this time. The SMPD does not have the resources to clear parking, so we would appreciate the public's help with this.

There will also be city road closures in front of the armory and around Riverside Park, as shown on the map below.

Yearly reminder as we get into firework season!

FIREWORK ORDINANCE:
Firing or discharge of fireworks in the City is only permitted between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. on June 27th through July 3rd and July 5th through July 6th, and between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 a.m. (midnight) on July 4th.

7-304 SALE OF FIREWORKS. Any person who has first obtained a valid permit to sell fireworks within the city may do so between the hours of 8:00 a.m., and 10:00 p.m. commencing June 27th and through July 5th of each year.

7-306 APPROVED FIREWORKS; BOTTLE ROCKETS PROHIBITED.
b) Bottle rockets and other similar self-propelled fireworks, or fireworks devices consisting of a tube and attached guiding stock or rod, shall not be discharged within the City.

7-308 THROWING PROHIBITED. It shall be unlawful for any person to throw, cast or propel fireworks of any kind in the direction of or into the path of any animal, person or group of persons, or from, in the direction of or into any vehicle of any kind.

Saint Marians are also reminded to make sure that firework discharges do not block city streets and roadways and to clean up their discarded fireworks after it is safe.

Hello, this is Zofia from Poland😊 I’m the one who is gonna sell educational books in St. Marys in the next couple of days.
