Thank you ECCSS for the wonderful ceremony!

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the courage and sacrifice of the first responders who answered the call that day. We continue to pray for the families whose lives were forever changed and for all those who serve and protect our communities each day.

At St. Marys Catholic Elementary School, our students and staff gathered for a special ceremony in the school parking lot to recognize and thank our local first responders. It was a meaningful opportunity for our students to show their gratitude to the men and women who dedicate themselves to keeping our community safe.

May we always remember the bravery, unity, and compassion shown in the face of tragedy, and may God continue to bless our first responders and our nation.

Today, we honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and remember the courage and sacrifice of the first responders who ran toward danger while others fled to safety.

We also recognize the families, friends, and communities forever changed that day. Their strength and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

May we always remember, honor, and stand together.

Join our friends from the Elk County Cruisers and us for Aviation Day this Saturday from 9-4 at the St. Mary’s Airport! There will be plenty of cars, trucks, and planes to see along with activities for the kids like our firefighter challenge. Also, you will have a chance to win this wagon stuffed with goodies! This is the 16th Annual Aviation Day/Car Show and we all look forward to seeing you!

This morning, members of the CFD attended mass at Sacred Heart Church in honor of St. Florian Day. St. Florian is the patron saint of firefighters. All the members received a blessing to be watched over as they respond to calls and dangers that might arise.
