Another unsafe property is gone, and we’re proud to see another positive improvement in our community.

This demolition was funded 100% through the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection’s Dilapidated Properties Assistance Program (DLAP), allowing us to remove a longstanding problem property at no cost to local taxpayers.

We’re grateful for this partnership and remain committed to creating a cleaner, safer, and healthier St. Marys one project at a time. 💙🏡🚜

The City of St. Marys is committed to promoting safe and responsible use of e-scooters and e-bicycles for riders of all ages.
As summer has started, and with warmer dry weather, let's remember some of these great safety reminders.

Safety Reminders:
✔️ Always wear a helmet
✔️ Ride at a safe speed
✔️ Obey traffic laws and signs
✔️ Stay alert and watch for vehicles, pedestrians, and obstacles
✔️ Ride in approved areas
✔️ One rider per device—no passengers
✔️ Be respectful of others and share the path

Parents: Please help ensure your child understands the rules, uses proper safety equipment, and rides responsibly.

Together, we can keep our streets safe while enjoying the benefits of e-scooters and e-bikes. Let's all do our part to make St. Marys a safer community for everyone!
