On Saturday, October 10, from 10 AM to 2 PM, Plow & Pulse Foundation is hosting a free Fall and Winter Garden Planting Day at 1524 Lady of the Lake Road. The children will plant vegetables, learn from college professors and students, explore the farm, fish, take hayrides, learn about animals and hydroponics, and enjoy lunch. Every child will also plant a cabbage in a bucket to bring home and grow.

Twenty-five years later, we still remember. Today, St. Martinville honors the lives lost on September 11, the first responders who rushed in, and the families who carry that loss every day.

Please take a quiet moment today to remember, and to thank someone who serves our community.

Happy Labor Day, St. Martinville. Today we pause to honor the hands that keep this city moving. The crews who patch our streets and restore our power after a storm. The teachers, nurses, first responders, cooks, farmers, and small business owners who pour themselves into this community day after day, often without being asked and rarely being thanked. Our city was built by working people, and that spirit still runs through every neighborhood along Bayou Teche. However you spend today, whether you are firing up the grill, resting with family, or still clocked in serving others, we hope you feel appreciated. Merci beaucoup to every worker who makes St. Martinville what it is.

Great new things are coming to St Martinville!

Welcome to the official page of the Greater St. Martinville Economic Development District!

Created in 2025 by the Louisiana State Legislature as a political subdivision of the State of Louisiana, the Greater St. Martinville Economic Development District was established to provide the structure, strategy, and coordination needed to support sustainable economic growth, encourage investment, and advance revitalization throughout St. Martinville.

Our mission is rooted in collaboration. By working alongside local governments, businesses, nonprofits, property owners, community organizations, and regional partners, we hope to create long-term economic opportunities, strengthen our local economy, and build greater resilience throughout St. Martinville and the surrounding region.

As we launch this page, we are also proud to introduce the individuals serving on the Greater St. Martinville Economic Development District Board:
