Deborah Bucknam for Vermont Attorney General

Deborah Bucknam for Vermont Attorney General As a small town lawyer, Deb Bucknam has been a fierce advocate and problem solver for thousands of individual Vermonters and small businesses. PO Box 310 St.

Deb's pledge to you:
I will redirect resources in the office of Attorney General to help Vermonters bring accountability to state government, instituting a program whereby Vermonters can contact their Attorney General whenever they are being ill-treated by Vermont public servants. Together we can-with well-meaning state employees-open the windows, clean out the cobwebs, and shine a light on gover

nment practices that are unfair, inefficient, or injurious to Vermonters and Vermont small businesses. I will lead the battle against the opioid epidemic that is devastating our families and overwhelming our justice system. Our response to this tragic disease epidemic has been unfocused and weak. I will bring all Vermonters together to plan, coordinate, and implement a focused and effective assault on this epidemic, so we can inoculate our children and families from this dreadful scourge. My experience representing Vermonters facing all kinds of adversity is that we are tough problem solvers. Together we can overcome this latest crisis with the right leadership. Last night I called TJ Donovan to congratulate him on his victory, and his campaign. He was gracious and congratulatory as well. I am so grateful to all of you for your support: to my family, including my fabulous daughters Jen and Serena and my wonderful husband, Charlie, to all my supporters who wrote letters to the editor, did sign wavings, drove me around, invited me into their homes, did phone calls, donated to my campaign, and gave me great advice and support. THANK YOU ALL! This campaign was a wonderful adventure, and I while I am disappointed in the outcome, I do not regret at all that I undertook this challenge. Here is my advice to all of you who have thought about getting into the arena, as Teddy Roosevelt called it: DO IT! Our state and our country need dedicated passionate people who want to serve their state and nation. And campaigning IS an adventure and a lot of fun. You meet wonderful people who are doing great work--running businesses, volunteering, taking care of their families. This is a wonderful state, and so I am optimistic, despite the disappointment. Thank you all again!
