Last night I called TJ Donovan to congratulate him on his victory, and his campaign. He was gracious and congratulatory as well. I am so grateful to all of you for your support: to my family, including my fabulous daughters Jen and Serena and my wonderful husband, Charlie, to all my supporters who wrote letters to the editor, did sign wavings, drove me around, invited me into their homes, did phone calls, donated to my campaign, and gave me great advice and support. THANK YOU ALL! This campaign was a wonderful adventure, and I while I am disappointed in the outcome, I do not regret at all that I undertook this challenge. Here is my advice to all of you who have thought about getting into the arena, as Teddy Roosevelt called it: DO IT! Our state and our country need dedicated passionate people who want to serve their state and nation. And campaigning IS an adventure and a lot of fun. You meet wonderful people who are doing great work--running businesses, volunteering, taking care of their families. This is a wonderful state, and so I am optimistic, despite the disappointment. Thank you all again!
