The Northeast Correctional Complex is a located in St. Johnsbury Vermont. We house approximately 200 justice involved individuals.

A special thank you to the NECC Work crew for their excellent cemetery maintenance! Our crew provides the incarcerated population with the chance to get back into society and acquire skills that will help them succeed after their release.

We appreciate the effort that incarcerated individuals and the work crew leaders accomplish on a daily basis.

"I would like to nominate Tina Heywood as employee of the month. Tina is always professional with a very positive attitude and a personality that makes her easy to get along with. Tina knows her job extremely well and uses her knowledge of the facility policies and procedures to help anyone who needs help, especially newer staff members. If she doesn’t have an answer, you can bet she will find the answer. She is always at work when she needs to be and occasionally quite often when she doesn’t, volunteering on her days off. Tina can be counted on to make sure team one is running like a well-oiled machine. She is the type of corrections professional people should strive to be."

The Vermont State Police remembers Game Warden Joshua Tibbetts of the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife Warden Service, who died in a plane crash in the line of duty Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Our thoughts and prayers are with him, his fellow officers and loved ones, and all who protect and serve.

The Northeast Correctional Complex congratulates Correctional Officer I Crespo on being selected as Employee of the Month for February 2026!

Since starting in October, COI Crespo has made an immediate impact. COI Crespo runs a very well-run Living Unit, demonstrates confidence, composure and professionalism. COI Crespo follows direction attentively, adapts quickly to new responsibilities, and consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic. Additionally, COI Crespo volunteers for a significant amount of OT on his days off, showing dedication not only to his role but to supporting the overall needs of the facility.
