Mental health matters! On top of our individual selves taking care of us, we need our Law Enforcement and local governing bodies like our Office to help not only provide resources but know who to turn to for mental health help.

On May 28, the Attorney’s Office in collaboration with Arizona Complete Health, ChangePoint and Community Bridges Inc. welcomed local leaders, law enforcement within Apache County, teachers, etc. to learn about the gaps that exist for mental health and how they can best fill that gap.

Please share the number with those in your community for healthier Apache County community. Your mental health matters

The Apache County Attorney’s Office recently was invited to the Amá Dóó Ałchíní Bighan Inc. Missing and Murdered Relative Conference in Chinle, Ariz.

The Navajo Nation covers the northern portion of Apache County where people and children go missing is a rising concern. At the conference, relatives of those who had gone missing, shared their stories on how they navigated a system that felt like it was against them. In doing so, many family members had misconceptions about how to find their loved ones with law enforcement on the Nation.

While each case varies and each story is different and the interactions may never be perfect, it’s key to know what misconceptions exist to understand that you may be able to do more than you thought.

Please share around for others!

One way we can do this is in our own Apache County backyard! Let’s get outdoors and start building new habits!
