Don’t Let Your Horse be a "Typhoid Mary"! 🐴❌

Going to a show or a clinic this weekend?

Shaking "hands" with other horses might seem friendly, but sharing snot is definitely NOT cool!

Keep your equine best friend healthy with these quick biosecurity hacks:

No Double Dipping: Never dunk the hose into your water bucket. Hold it above the rim so germs don’t swim from bucket to bucket.

Selfish is Safer: It’s okay to be a little "selfish" with your gear. Don't share brushes, saddle pads, or buckets with other horses.

The Barrier Method: Use your tack stall as a "fence" between your horse and their neighbors at the show.

Do Your Dishes: Don’t just dump the water—scrub those buckets and feed tubs regularly to get rid of hidden bacteria and algae.

Keep the blue ribbons coming and the germs going!

Please join a Federal Regulatory Fairness Hearing on Grazing at Show Low City Hall on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 9:00 am to noon.
The meeting will include representatives from the US Forest Service (USFS), Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Natural Resources Conservation Services (NCRS), and the Small Business Administration (SBA).
The purpose of this hearing is to gather feedback from stakeholders such as small businesses, ranchers, and grazing permit holders about federal regulations that affect livestock grazing on public lands. We would like to hear about regulatory challenges regarding grazing issues on federal lands such as (but not limited to) permitting matters, delays, and/or compliance or enforcement issues. We would also like to hear ways regulations could be improved or simplified. The National Ombudsman collects this feedback and reports it annually to Congress and federal agencies to push for regulatory improvements.
Date: March 12, 2026 (Thursday)
Time: 9:00 am – noon
Location: Show Low City Hall, 180 N 9th Street, Show Low, AZ 85901
