Our thoughts and prayers are with Chief Brown’s family and his OMFD family. He was truly loved and respected by everyone that knew him.
Rest easy Chief!

Today OMFD said goodbye to Retired Chief Jim Brown. Chief Brown Joined OMFD In 1979, he became Chief of OMFD in 1993 and Retired from OMFD in 2012. He then Moved up north with his wife to retire in peace, where he ended up joining the Local fire department in 2013, Lake Missaukee Area Fire Department. Where he then became Chief in 2018, and was Chief until he lost his battle with Cancer today in his home surrounded by his wife and children. You will be missed dearly Chief Brown. You’ve gone above and beyond for your community. Rest easy, Your brothers and sisters have got it from here.

Rest In Peace Brother.

It's a very hard day here at the Elsie Area Fire Department. We lost one of our own, in an accident this morning outside of our area trying to help others involved in a car accident. He was hit by another passing motorist.

Rest in Peace, Zach. You will be missed. We have the watch from here.

Don't forget about the Timothy L. Sanborn Scholarship. The Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior(s) from Bath, Dewitt, Fowler, Maple Rapids, Ovid-Elsie, Pewamo-Westphalia or St. Johns High School in Clinton County. Or another high school if a parent is a Firefighter with Clinton County, MI.
All applications must be turned in no later than April 15, 2021.
