🇺🇸 25 Years Later: We Remember.

Mrs. Castle’s 8th Grade Advanced Language Arts classes at Clark took their 9/11 learning outside for a special 9/11 Chalk Walk honoring the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

After spending the week reading, reflecting, listening to personal stories, and exploring how words preserve memories and history, students filled Clark's sidewalks with messages of remembrance, hope, unity, courage, and gratitude.

These students were born long after September 11, 2001, but through literature, firsthand stories from family and community members, and meaningful discussion, they learned why remembering still matters 25 years later.

They used their own words to help carry those stories forward. ❤️🤍💙

We remember the lives lost. We honor the heroes. We carry the stories forward. Never forget. 🇺🇸

Colibri Coffee Chicago stopped in to thank the Kolling staff recently for keeping the students calm and happy on their first day of school. What better way to calm down after a derecho than with coffee and wonderful coworkers called friends!
