It is truly a privilege to serve alongside Chief Fischler, a remarkable leader who has devoted over 50 years of unwavering service to our community. His extensive career is marked by a steadfast commitment to public safety and community engagement, demonstrating a deep understanding of the needs of those he serves. Chief Fischler's tireless efforts and exemplary dedication have significantly shaped our community, making it safer and more united. His wisdom and experience inspire us all to strive for excellence in our own roles.
During Rescue 2’s 100 years, only 14 have served as the Captain of the company. Captain Flaherty, Captain Ruvolo, Chief Fischler, Chief Downey (LODD 9/11), and Chief Gallagher served as the company’s commander for 52 of those years combined.
