Today we pause to remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Their courage, honor, and selflessness built the foundation for the life we live today. We will never forget.
Thank you. 🇺🇸

Happy National Police Week!
This week, we pause to honor the men and women who wear the badge every single day, the ones who run toward danger when others run away. We celebrate your courage, your commitment, and the quiet sacrifices you and your families make to keep our community safe.
To our officers and their loved ones: Thank you. Your service does not go unnoticed. Whether you’re on patrol, answering calls, investigating cases, or supporting operations behind the scenes, you make a real difference in the lives of the people you serve.
We also remember and honor the ultimate sacrifice made by our brothers and sisters who gave their lives in the line of duty. You will never be forgotten.
To our community: We couldn’t do this job without your support. A simple “thank you,” a wave, or a kind word goes further than you know. Let’s use this week to show appreciation for those who stand on the thin blue line.

We still have 4 child bicycle helmets leftover that we would love to give away. Stop by during city hall hours and we can see if we have one that will fit your child.

Further temporary stoppages will be implemented at N State and Marquette St to ensure the safe return of the Jeeps to the Little Bear. Please be advised of these traffic stoppages and plan an alternative route for tomorrow morning if required.

🚨 Heads Up, Mackinac County 🚨
A new scam is making the rounds pretending to be from the court system. We’ve already been alerted to it twice today. These notices look real, but they are 100% fake.

If someone reaches out with questions about warrants, fines, or citations, please connect them with the correct court office or staff.

If they’re asking about another court, remind them to look up that court’s contact information from a trusted source or through MiCourt.

❌ Do not scan the QR codes included in these phishing (“quishing”) scams.

Help spread the word so others don’t get caught off guard.
