Say Hello to Summer Reading 2026! Our theme this year is:
"Unearth a story."
All summer long, we'll be exploring all things dinosaur (and a little bit of more recent history) through our incredible lineup of summer reading programming and in-house programming. Let's take a look!
🦖Summer Reading Program🦕:
Starting on June 15th, you'll be able to sign up for the 2026 program, which has 3 different levels. Read to Me, Independent, and Teen/Tween. Each level is slightly different, but the idea remains the same. Read for a certain amount of time and then check off a box! Once the log is completed, you can turn it in for a prize & a grand prize ticket! This year we'll also have incentives for completing multiple logs thanks to some amazing partner businesses from the St. Ignace Community.
Family Story Time:
New this summer is Family Story Time, a special story hour that's fun for the entire family! Every Friday at 10:30 a.m., a hand-selected story and activity designed to be fun for everyone!
Programs:
Each Month, we'll have 2 incredible interactive programs the whole family will have a blast at! Ranging from hands on science/STEAM activites to celebrating our country's 250th birthday! Check out our newsletter or Summer Reading flyer for more information! Be sure to follow us here on Facebook or our website for the most current information regarding summer programming
Take & Make Crafts:
Every Month, we'll have a new craft project available at the library you can either make here or bring home and finish on your own time! Starting this month, we'll have "Paper-Craft dinosaurs."
Adopt-A-Dino🦖:
Ever want your very own pet Dinosaur? Join our adoption program and get your very own dinosaur companion with their very own special interests and quirks.
